About Us

YMP consists of youths age ranging 17-30 with one common ground: In the pursuit of learning about Islam deeper. Hence the inception of this group in early 2007.

We serve as a platform for the youths to learn from each other while sourcing out from the wiser and older ones who are well-versed in Islam.

Fortnightly meetings are organized in venues around Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In each gathering, we invite one or two experienced speakers to impart their knowledge on us, the youths, regarding Islam. It encourages intellectual discussions and the posing of burning questions that the youths have always had in minds.

We are not restricted to Muslims youths only. It is open for participation for anyone interested. You can see a mélange of people coming from the gathering; from the scarfed ones to the pierced ones to the inked ones.

“YMP has always seen itself as being different. We want to break away from the dogma that comes with anything Islamic. We want to propagate that it’s ok to be a practicing Muslim in today’s time. It’s fun and it’s cool to be Muslims.”
-Amin-
-YMP President-

Salam,

Hi cikedis. YMP is not like the traditional organization that requires membership sign-up and fee. Its always free, and all we need is your e-mail, interest, and attention :)

So just come to our get-togethers or funtivities, meet us, as well as other new people, gain knowledge and have a bit of fun!

The get-togethers are usually held in 43, Pinggir Zaaba, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Kuala Lumpur, as mentioned above. There's no particular dresscodes, and you could bring whomever you like..

Just drop us an e-mail at youngmuslimsproject@gmail.com and we'll inform you of all our upcoming events.

You could also add us on Facebook. Just follow the link below the "Of Friends & Family" list.

See you soon!
