We are well and truly on our journey to the most wonderful time of the year and Young Muslims Project brings you an event especially for teenagers.

As children we are taught the importance of Ramadhan, how we are commanded to fast, how the Qur'an was sent down. But it is sometimes difficult to transcend our obligations to turn them into acts of sincere and devoted worship.

Together with Sheikh Yahya Ibrahim let your kids (or younger brothers and sisters) delve deeper into the meaning of Ramadhan, learn how to enjoy this blessed month and manage it as they continue with their daily lives. All so that as the days count down to 1st Ramadhan we will be rushing to get to the mosque for teraweeh, getting up early for suhoor and trying our very best to reap all the Blessings and Mercy that Allah has promised us.

Sheikh Yahya training in classical Islamic knowledge started while he was in his teens. At the age of 17 he was already lecturing at mosques in his native Canada. Now Sheikh Yahya lives in Perth, with his wife and two children, where he is the Islamic Chaplain at Curtin University of Technology and the director of a Perth-wide halal food network. He was previously the Deputy Principal of the largest Islamic School in Australia and so he is one of the best speakers when it comes to interacting and dealing with teenagers.
